Samsung Galaxy J8 will be available in India on June 28

Samsung unveiled the Galaxy J8 for the first time last month. Back then the company said the phone would be out in India at some point in July, but we have some good news. It turns out that the J8 is actually going to be released in the subcontinent in just three days - that is, on June 28.

That's a nice example of a rare occurrence in the mobile world - a product becoming available before its initially anticipated release window. The Galaxy J8 will be purchasable in blue, black, and gold.

It comes with the ability to reshape the camera background blur - hearts, butterflies, suns, stars, you name it. The blur itself is created by the dual snapper system, comprising a 16 MP and a 5 MP sensor.

The Galaxy J8 sports a 6-inch 720x1480 touchscreen, a 16 MP f/1.9 selfie cam, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of expandable storage, and a 3,500 mAh battery. It's powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC, which has a 1.8 GHz octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU. It runs Android 8.0 Oreo.

It will be priced at INR 18,990 ($278 or €238 at the current exchange rates). If you buy through ICICI Bank credit and debit cards or Paytm you will receive a cashback of INR 1,500 ($22, €18).
