The Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi released a K50 Ultra smartphone in the summer of 2022, months later than the K50 and K50 Pro. New reports suggest we'll see a repeat with the K60 lineup as well.
The Redmi K60 Ultra is said to arrive in Q3 2023 with a Dimensity 9200 chipset and 100W fast charging - both specs are less impressive than the Redmi K60 Pro, raising questions about the credibility of the Ultra moniker.
Redmi K60 and Redmi K60 Pro
The specs of the new phone are not an outright upgrade over the K50 Ultra as well - it came with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and 120W charging. What the K60 Ultra is expected to bring along is a 6.67” OLED with 2712 x 1220 resolution and up to 144Hz refresh rate.
There is still a long time before Q3, as we are still in the first quarter of the year, and Redmi has other product launches to look forward to - one of them is a Redmi Note 12 Turbo with a big 5,500mAh battery with 67W charging and a Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 chipset.
